Choosing the right rotary mixer for you
I get asked a lot and when I say a lot, I mean nearly on a daily basis what mixer the person should buy. More often than not they have received advice to buy a particular mixer based solely on the fact that the person giving advice owns that mixer.
Justin from Isonoe speaks about his wonderful mixer
Undoubtedly one of my favourite mixers. The Isonoe 420 is an outstanding piece of beautiful engineering. Something that is very important to me but often overlooked in the industry is touch points. Physical interaction with the machine. In this case with the Isonoe 420 the touchpoints literally couldn't be any better and the bold ergonomics really work for me.

Rotaries…I’ve had a few
No it’s not the lyrics to an Elvis classic! My obsession started with a humble Ominitronic TRM202 mk2. The gateway drug of the rotary mixer world! The journey has continued since as I worked through a vast majority of rotary mixers out there on my quest to find the rotary mixer that was made for me!
What I have learned over the years is that you should purchase a mixer that suits the way you play and NOT just because that person has one and it’s the best one out there and he plays with it at xxx club blah blah blah.
Don’t get hung up on sound quality either (unless your an audiophile hifi geek and not a DJ) for several reasons that I’ll write about shortly.
